During Rotterdam Processing Week, the Institute for Sustainable Process Technology (ISPT) will present the latest insights and innovations in energy, materials, and food processing. The Energy in Processing platform will offer a glimpse into the future of a circular and climate-neutral industry.

Wednesday, October 1: Materials & Agri-Food
The first day focuses on the raw materials transition and food innovation. Topics include the smart use of residual flows and secondary raw materials, circular business models in the manufacturing and food industries, local protein production, regenerative agriculture, and supply chain collaboration. Visitors will see how the process industry and agri-food are joining forces in new revenue models that are both ecologically and economically sustainable.

Thursday, October 2: Energy & Industry

Day two focuses on energy efficiency and grid independence. Topics include electrification of heating and drying processes, circular heat and industrial residual heat utilization, and new energy carriers such as clean ammonia and green hydrogen. The sessions highlight how companies are focusing on CO₂ reduction, tackling grid congestion, and benefiting from programs like SDE++ and EIA/VAMIL.

Matchmaking
During both days, ISPT is organizing “Connect on Your Supply Chain Issue” sessions. These interactive matchmaking sessions offer visitors the opportunity to easily engage in discussions with ISPT experts and supply chain partners. This fosters new collaborations that accelerate the transition in practice.

Energy in Processing Powered by ISPT demonstrates how the energy transition, the raw materials transition, and the innovation of the food chain are interconnected. ISPT facilitates this integrated approach and invites visitors to actively participate in building a future-proof process industry.
